my love story

I've seen a life, my life, in dark despair... lonely & without purpose. A life failing & miserable be transformed into something amazing & beautiful right before my eyes.

I have fallen madly in love with my Savior, my God, my Lord, my Jesus... the Lover of my soul.

I've learned that this relationship with God is not about a religion. It's about Him... drawing near to Him & getting to know my creator. Listening to His whispers and being led by His Spirit. I walk hand in hand with Him, stumbling along this path of intimacy. When I trip and fall He gently helps me up, dusts off my knees, takes my hand again and continues to lead me into my divine destiny.

Oh, the Love I've found. The Joy. The peace.

He's the creator of the entire universe, He is the artist who shaped and formed our being, He fashioned each of our hearts, yet He is a God who cares about the teeny tiny details of our every day...
He's a LOVING God, a LIVING God, a GOOD God... He's my God.

He loves me and He loves you too.

Run now, as fast as you can, don't turn back, jump into His arms & let Him sweep you off your feet.
Draw near to God & He will draw near to you. (James 4:8)

He's waiting on you... you're not waiting on Him.

I also happen to be madly in love with my fantastic husband. We met when we were young teenagers. Yes, it's that sickening puppy dog love that you read about & see in the movies... it just so happened to be the real thing for us... even at a young age.

It's a pretty neat story.

You can read about how I met both Jesus & my hubby here in "my love story" post

favorite posts I've written about God:

  • 2 worlds... you must think I'm crazy- I hate it when people blame bad things on God! He is a GOOD God. There are no grey lines.
  • Smitten- we are smitten with God's love, just like He is smitten with ours. He's a loving, sweep you off your feet kinda God.
  • a little Noah wisdom for you- I helped head up our 2009 VBS. This post was a recap of the week's messages.
a simple gospel message:
God is waiting for every person to give their heart to Him. He is our creator and He made us each for a specific purpose. He sent Jesus, His son, to the earth to die on the cross as a sacrifice for our wrong.
All we have to do is receive it. Accept it. Nothing we can do to earn it.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Nothing too bad that we’ve done that can prevent us from having it. Never to young. Never to old. Never too early. Never too late.

Once we receive the gift our spirit is awakened and we can have the joy, peace and purpose that can only come from a relationship with Jesus.

Not only does He restore us and provide a new life here on earth but He has also promised an eternity with Him in Heaven. Our Forever is secure in Him.

We just have to believe and receive it by faith.

if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 9:10

a simple prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending Jesus to die for me.
I ask you to forgive me for my wrongs.
I ask Jesus to become my Lord.
I surrender my life to you God.
Lead me, guide me, make me new.
I love you.
In Jesus name I pray.
Amen
